Guides · Setting up
Set it up once: your paper, your defaults
Settings is the cog at the bottom of the app. Set it once and every fitting starts the way you work.

What is in there
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Paper | A3, A4, Letter, Legal or Tabloid. Every template prints at 100% on it, tiled with crosshairs when it is bigger than the sheet |
| Your defaults | Insulation, seam lap, hole pitch, swage per edge, tee flange. Every new fitting starts from them; a fitting’s own Lap box is the total for that job |
| Ordinate divisions | How many stations the pattern is marked off at, for the mark-out table and the ordinates on the drawing |
| 3D and preview info | The spinning fitting and the readout under it, on or off |
| Theme | Dark, or light for a roof at noon |
| Company name | Printed on every template. Pro |
| Backup | Export your settings and jobs to a file, restore them on the next phone or the machine in the office |
On a monitor
From 1024px wide the app is the desktop layer: an icon rail down the left, the inputs in a column you can drag or fold away, the drawing filling the rest, and a pattern taller than it is wide lying down so you can see it. Same settings, same engine.
Moved from the Play app to the web version, or the other way? Enter your code once more and restore the backup. The code is not used up.
